During our latest trip we were able to help the school with new school books and uniforms to purchase. This money we got together in different ways. The fundraising of the SBAO School 'De Springplank' from Harderwijk in The Netherlands was raised for Yamah Foundation for a few weeks. Together an amount of a few hundred euros! From friends, family and colleagues, we received amounts 'to do something good' in The Gambia. We have certainly done that and on behalf of students, teachers and parents from the London School Corner we want to thank everyone who contributed!

These photos Yussuf has sent us the week after we were gone. The man in the green dress is Yussuf, headmaster of the London School Corner and the man who years ago started with this great job. The man in the white shirt is Akeem, his right hand. The man next Yussuf is the tailor of the uniforms. Instead of sending clothing from the Netherlands, we think it's important to simulate the local economy.
