During the memorial service for Trudy Duhoux, on August 10, 2009, we held a fundraiser for the Yamah Foundation. We recieved more than € 2.400. Trudy has always had the dream for a greater health in The Gambia to. She even thought about going to The Gambia for a long time to help set up a project.

On out latest trip we visited Narang Health Centre (Narang) in Jiboro. A project of which Trudy was impressed. We decided to donate money of the memorial service to training two of the nurses, attached to Narang. Narang takes a very important place for the residents of Jiboro, but also in the region and even for people from Senegal, which is two kilometers away from Jiboro. Narang would like to help more people, but the knowledge is not always sufficient. By training two nurses Narang will strengthen its important function.

With this gift we believe that we are part of the dream that Trudy had about health care in The Gambia.
